International Congress of Supreme Audit Institutions (INCOSAI) which held a meeting once in every three years aims to provide an opportunity for all INTOSAI members to share experiences, discuss issues, and pass resolutions and recommendations to improve government accountability worldwide. The XIX INCOSAI which was held in Mexico City, Mexico was attended by Tan Sri Dato’ Setia Ambrin bin Buang, Auditor-General of Malaysia, Mr. Hamdan bin Ahmad, Director of Federal Audit Sector, Ms. Lau Tze Ngiik, Deputy Director of Federal Audit Sector, Mr. Abdul Ghani bin Md. Lakin, Director of Penang Audit Branch and Dr. Masiah bt. Ahmad, Principal Auditor of Research Division.

Two themes have been discussed during the congress that is  Management Accountability and Audit of Public Debt as well as the Performance Assessment Systems Based on Universally Accepted Key Indicators. The congress has agreed to the appointment of the  National Audit Department of Malaysia (NAD) and SAI of Paraguay as INTOSAI Auditors for the financial year 2007 to 2009. The XX INCOSAI will be hosted by the Auditor General of South Africa in Johannesburg on November 15–20, 2010.
